Equivalent to First Person on Scene (FPOS), First Responder and First Response Emergency Care (FREC) courses. The purpose of this intensive FAQ Level 3 Award for First Responders on Scene: Emergency First Responder (RQF) FROS® is to provide first responders with the skills, knowledge and understanding to provide the appropriate life-saving care to a casualty prior to the arrival of an ambulance.
The First Aid at Work (FAW) Level 3 qualification is suitable for people who might need to respond to a wide range of accidents, injuries and illnesses that they could come across in their workplace. It is an ideal course for large organisations and businesses whose risk assessment has identified that they require a fully trained first aider for their workplace.
Requalification is required every 3 years after completion of the First Aid at Work (FAW) course. This course is set over a two day period with a minimum contact time of 12 hours. In order to do this course, you must have a copy of your original FAW certificate. If your FAW certificate expired more than 28 days ago you will need to re-do the full 3 day FAW course.
The Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) level 3 qualification is a popular training option which covers common injuries and illnesses. It is ideal for small to medium-sized organisations, low risk industries, people who require the qualification for freelance work as well as members of the general public who want the reassurance that they know how to deal with a first aid situation should it arise at home or out and about.
The Paediatric First Aid (PFA) level 3 qualification is designed specifically for people who look after babies and children, including child minders, crèche leaders, nannies, au pairs, nursery and pre-school workers, teachers and teaching assistants, and sport and leisure staff. It provides theoretical and practical training in first aid techniques that are specific to infants aged 0 to 1 and children aged from 1 to 18 years old.

The Outdoor Pursuits 16 Hour First Aid course is suitable for people who might need to respond to a wide range of accidents, injuries and illnesses that they could come across when out in rural and remote areas where professional emergency assistance is not easily accessible.
The Outdoor Pursuits 8 Hour First Aid course is suitable for people who might need to respond to accidents, injuries and illnesses that they could come across when out in rural and remote areas where professional emergency assistance is not easily accessible.
After 12 months, it is recommended that you attend a half-day* course to refresh your first aid skills.
The Family First Aid course is designed specifically for members of the general public who want to be able to respond with confidence to baby, child and adult first aid situations in their everyday life, rather than as a requirement of their job.
This First Aid for Babies and Children course is designed specifically for members of the general public who want to be able to respond with confidence to children first aid situations in their everyday life, rather than as a requirement of their job. It would suit (expectant) parents, grandparents, other family members, and anyone who is often around babies and children.
The Community First Aid course gives you basic first aid training to help you deal with a first aid emergency in your local community. This course is ideal for community groups, youth groups, families or individuals.

Our first aid courses for home educated children are relaxed, fun, flexible and child-led. The sessions are about children just having a go, trying out the equipment and seeing the importance in learning some first aid skills.
We are thrilled to work with Girlguiding and Scout groups to help children develop skills for life. We can deliver first aid courses on-site to groups of up to 20 children wishing to earn their First Aid Skills Builder badges.

Pet First Aid for Pet Professionals Level 3 (VTQ) covers much more detail about the different injuries and illnesses that can affect dogs and cats. The course has been designed to give pet professionals, including dog walkers, instructors, groomers, pet boarding, pet stores, veterinary practices and pet sitters, much more information in order to be able to detect early when something is wrong and give the appropriate care.
