A hands-on approach will ensure that you will learn essential first aid skills and have the confidence to use them in a real life situation. \nAn alternative option is to book one of our Family First Aid courses which take place in the comfort of your own home at a time to suit you.

A hands-on approach ensures that attendees practise first aid skills and have the confidence to use them in a real life situation. \nOn completion of the course\, you with receive an official certificate which is valid for three years and a certified CPD statement. \nCentral Park Hub is located in the centre of Plymouth\, Devon\, and is easily accessible from the surrounding areas of Torbay\, Exeter\, Tavistock\, Saltash and Torpoint.

SUMMARY:Real-Life Superheroes: First Aid for Children
DESCRIPTION:These courses\, aimed at 6 to 15 year olds\, will be lots of fun and jam-packed with vital first aid knowledge and skills practise!  Spaces are limited to 20 and there will be two DBS checked first aid instructors with the group all day. \nSome of what will be covered include: \n\nhow to stay safe and get help\,\nwound cleaning and dressing (fake blood\, wound tattoos and make-up)\nhead injuries\, burns\, fractures\, bleeding\nCPR and AED (defib)\nchoking\nallergic reactions\nasthma attacks\n\nThere will be activities and games and opportunities for some quiet time if needed. \nChildren can be dropped off between 9:00-9:30 and collected between 3:00-3:30. However\, if you would like to stay with your child(ren) for a while\, or even all day\, you are very welcome to; we want these courses to be accessible to everyone. \nChildren will need to bring a packed lunch (we respectively ask that these are nut-free). Drinks and snacks will be provided. \nA sibling discount will be applied at basket. We kindly ask that you only book for your own children.

SUMMARY:Plymouth Home Ed First Aid
DESCRIPTION:Our first aid courses for home educated children are relaxed\, fun\, flexible and child-led. Children may not engage for the full two hours but we allow plenty of time for them to come and go\, joining in with the activities they are most interested in. The sessions are about children just having a go\, trying out the equipment and seeing the importance in learning some first aid skills – skills they may one day use themselves! \nThese sessions are free for siblings under 5; you do not need to book a ticket for them. \nParents are respectively asked to attend alongside their children at no additional cost. \nA group discount will be applied when more than one ticket is purchased. We kindly ask that you only book tickets for your own family. \nWe have hired Central Park Community Sports Hub. The venue is accessible and there is plenty of parking by Plymouth Life Centre. To get to the Hub\, walk past the children’s park and The Meadow Cafe on your right; the Sports Hub is just a bit further on by the tennis courts (What3Words treat.worth.toast).
