SUMMARY:First Aid for Home Educated Children - Callington
DESCRIPTION:Become real-life superheroes who can help in emergencies! Learn vital first aid skills and how to stay safe in different environments. \nOur first aid courses for home educated children are relaxed\, fun\, flexible and child-led. Children may not engage for the full two hours but we allow plenty of time for them to come and go\, joining in with the activities they are most interested in. The sessions are about children just having a go\, trying out the equipment and seeing the importance in learning some first aid skills – skills they may one day use themselves! \nThese sessions are free for siblings under 5; you do not need to book a ticket for them. \nParents are respectively asked to attend alongside their children at no additional cost. \nA group discount will be applied when more than one ticket is purchased. We kindly ask that you only book tickets for your own family. \nIF TICKETS SELL OUT\, PLEASE LET US KNOW (info@whitecrosstraining.co.uk  07787772332) AS WE MAY BE ABLE TO ASSIGN A SECOND FIRST AID INSTRUCTOR AND INCREASE SPACES!

SUMMARY:Outdoor Pursuits First Aid 8-Hour Level 3 (VTQ)
DESCRIPTION:The Outdoor Pursuits First Aid 8-Hour Level 3 (VTQ) course is suitable for people who might need to respond to accidents\, injuries and illnesses that they could come across when out in rural and remote areas where professional emergency assistance is not easily accessible.\nThe Outdoor Pursuits First Aid 8-Hour course is an ideal first aid course for outdoor activity instructors\, teachers or leaders operating in locations with close access to further support. This includes: activity instructors\, sports coaches\, teachers\, forest school leaders and anyone who enjoys hiking\, cycling and climbing in the great outdoors. The Outdoor Pursuits First Aid 8-Hour course is aligned with the Institute for Outdoor Learning (IOL) Statement of Good Practice on Outdoor First Aid at Band 2. \nSpaces on the Outdoor Pursuits First Aid course are limited to a maximum of 12 people. A hands-on approach ensures that attendees learn first aid skills and have the confidence to use them in a real life situation. \nFor those attendees working in an environment where there is a need to also hold a Workplace First Aid qualification\, this can be incorporated into the curriculum.  If you would like to also gain an Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) certificate as well\, there is an additional fee of £15 per attendee for this optional qualification. Please request this at the time of booking. \nOn successful completion of the course\, you will receive a certified Outdoor Pursuits First Aid 8-Hour Level 3 (VTQ) certificate which is valid for three years.
