Outdoor Pursuits 16 Hour First Aid Level 3 (VTQ)
27 Mar 2023 @ 9:00 am - 28 Mar 2023 @ 5:30 pm
£170.00The Outdoor Pursuits 16 Hour First Aid Level 3 (VTQ) course is suitable for people who might need to respond to a wide range of accidents, injuries and illnesses that they could come across when out in rural and remote areas where professional emergency assistance is not easily accessible.
It is an ideal course for outdoor activity instructors, teachers or leaders and outdoor learning specialists operating in situations where a number of hazards may be present or help may be up to a few hours away. This includes: water sports instructors and sailing, kayaking and canoeing leaders, as well as mountain leaders, outdoor pursuits instructors and students, SCUBA instructors, Duke of Edinburgh (DofE) assessors, bush craft instructors, forest school leaders and anyone who enjoys hiking, cycling and climbing in the great outdoors.
Spaces on the Outdoor Pursuits First Aid course are limited to a maximum of 12 people. A hands-on approach ensures that attendees learn first aid skills and have the confidence to use them in a real life situation.
For those attendees working in an environment where there is a need to also hold a Workplace First Aid qualification or Emergency Paediatric First Aid qualification, this can be incorporated into the curriculum. If you would like to also gain an Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) certificate or an Emergency Paediatric First Aid (EPFA) certificate as well, there is an additional fee of £15 per attendee for these optional qualifications. Please request this at the time of booking.
On successful completion of the course, attendees will receive a certified Outdoor Pursuits 16 Hour First Aid Level 3 (VTQ) certificate which is valid for three years.
