The Outdoor Pursuits First Aid 8-Hour Level 3 (VTQ) course is suitable for people who might need to respond to a wide range of accidents, injuries and illnesses that they could come across when out in rural and remote areas where professional emergency assistance is not easily accessible.
The Outdoor Pursuits First Aid 8-Hour course is an ideal first aid course for outdoor activity instructors, teachers or leaders operating in locations with close access to further support. This includes: activity instructors, sports coaches, teachers, forest school leaders and anyone who enjoys hiking, cycling and climbing in the great outdoors. The Outdoor Pursuits First Aid 8-Hour course is aligned with the Institute for Outdoor Learning (IOL) Statement of Good Practice on Outdoor First Aid at Band 2.
For attendees who also require an Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) qualification (RQF), this can be incorporated into the course curriculum. If you would like to gain the EFAW qualification, this is available for an additional fee of £15 (£18 incl. VAT) per attendee.
When booking, you can choose to reserve a place on one of the following options:
1. Outdoor Pursuits 8-Hour First Aid Level 3 (VTQ) Course
2. Outdoor Pursuits 8-Hour First Aid Level 3 (VTQ) Course and Emergency First Aid at Work Level 3 (RQF)
Spaces on this course are limited to a maximum of 12 people. A hands-on approach ensures that attendees learn first aid skills and have the confidence to use them in a real life situation.
On successful completion of the course, attendees will receive a certified Outdoor Pursuits First Aid 8-Hour Level 3 (VTQ) certificate, valid for three years, and those who choose to complete the additional Emergency First Aid at Work (RQF) option will also receive a separate qualification, also valid for three years.
