The Paediatric First Aid level 3 (RQF) qualification is designed specifically for people who look after babies and children, including child minders, crèche leaders, nannies, au pairs, nursery and pre-school workers, teachers and teaching assistants, and sport and leisure staff.
It provides theoretical and practical training in first aid techniques that are specific to infants aged 0 to 1 and children aged from 1 to 18 years old. By undertaking this training, you are ensuring that you know what to do in a paediatric first aid situation as well as meeting OFSTED’s requirements.
The Paediatric First Aid course is a regulated two day course. The course meets the UK and European Resuscitation Council Guidelines 2021 as per the HSE requirements.
Spaces on the Paediatric First Aid course are limited to a maximum of 12 people. A hands-on approach ensures that attendees learn first aid skills and have the confidence to use them in a real life situation. Learners are assessed throughout the course on their practical demonstrations, Q&A sessions and quizzes.
