Our first aid courses for home educated children are relaxed, fun, flexible and child-led. Children may not engage for the full two hours but we allow plenty of time for them to come and go, joining in with the activities they are most interested in. The sessions are about children just having a go, trying out the equipment and seeing the importance in learning some first aid skills – skills they may one day use themselves!
These sessions are free for siblings under 5; you do not need to book a ticket for them.
Parents are respectively asked to attend alongside their children at no additional cost.
A group discount will be applied when more than one ticket is purchased. We kindly ask that you only book tickets for your own family.
We have hired The Centre Newlyn which has level access from the street, lift access, baby change facilities and disabled toilets as well as access to hot drink making facilities.
Directions and parking:
Take the A30 past Penzance, turning off at the B3315, which is signposted Newlyn. You will come to a T Junction. To get to The Centre, turn right and
head up Chywoone Hill. Five hundred meters up you will see a pull-in space on your left. The blue double doors are the entrance to The Centre. Please
note that the parking is for pick-up and drop-off purposes only.
For parking, take the B3315, but at the T junction head straight on into Newlyn. There is a pay and display car park one hundred meters onwards on the right, opposite the Fishermen’s Mission. If you pass Co-op on your right, you have gone too far. Alternatively, there are often spaces on Chywoone Hill, above The Centre.
