The Blended Paediatric First Aid Level 3 (RQF) qualification is designed specifically for people who look after babies and children, including child minders, crèche leaders, nannies, au pairs, nursery and pre-school workers, teachers and teaching assistants, and sport and leisure staff.
It provides comprehensive theoretical and practical training in first aid techniques that are specific to infants aged 0 to 1 and children aged from 1 to 18 years old. By undertaking this training, you are ensuring that you know what to do in a paediatric first aid situation, while also meeting the Department for Education’s requirements and the standards outlined in the EYFS Statutory Frameworks.
The accredited Paediatric First Aid Level 3 (RQF) course meets the requirements of the Health and Safety (First-Aid) Regulations 1981 where applicable and is delivered in line with current HSE guidance. The course also aligns with the latest Resuscitation Council UK Guidelines, as required by the HSE.
This is a 12-hour Blended Paediatric First Aid Level 3 (RQF) course, combining online learning with a practical classroom session. You will complete approximately 6-hours of online learning at your own pace before attending the 1-day practical course. This approach allows you to build a strong foundation of knowledge before developing your practical skills during a hands-on session with an experienced instructor, giving you the confidence to act in real-life paediatric first aid situations.
Spaces on our courses are are limited to a maximum of 12 people. A hands-on approach ensures that you will develop practical first aid skills and feel confident applying them when caring for babies and children.
