The First Aid at Work Level 3 (RQF) (FAW) qualification is suitable for people who might need to respond to a wide range of accidents, injuries and illnesses that they could come across in their workplace. It is an ideal course for large organisations and businesses whose risk assessment has identified that they require a fully trained first aider for their workplace.
The accredited First Aid at Work course meets the requirements of the Health and Safety (First-Aid) Regulations 1981 and is delivered in line with current HSE guidance. The course also aligns with the latest Resuscitation Council UK Guidelines, as required by the HSE.
First Aid at Work Requalification is required every 3 years following completion of a First Aid at Work course. To attend the 2-day requalification course, you must hold a valid or recently expired First Aid at Work Level 3 (RQF) certificate and provide a copy of your original qualification. If your certificate has been expired for more than 28 days, you may be required to complete the full 3-day First Aid at Work course.
The 3-day First Aid at Work course can also be combined with the 2-day Paediatric First Aid Level 3 (RQF) course and the Forest Schools 16-Hour First Aid Level 3 (VTQ) course. There is also the option of completing a First Aid at Work Level 3 (VTQ) – High Risk course which is ideal for businesses whose risk assessment has identified a high risk of excessive bleeding accidents. This version of the FAW course covers training in the use of tourniquets and haemostatic dressings. If you are interested in completing one of these other courses, please get in touch before booking.
